Oscar Film Unit Gold Anthology is a collection of student films made by the University of Surrey's film society since its formation fifty years ago.
Oscar Film Unit Gold Anthology is an ongoing project to preserve Oscar Film Unit's historic collection of short films.
Full records for the film society do not cover its entire history. However, anecdotal evidence proves that OFU was making films (for the BBC, no less) at least as early as the mid 1950s.
In recognition of OFU's fifty years of documenting university life, Xillennia is working to preserve these essential films by converting them to digital formats.
We are keen to hear from former members of the society, particularly ones who were involved in shooting films between 1967 and 1980. Please see the get involved section.
